THE SINGER/SONGWRITER WHO SPENT THE PAST YEAR ON THE ROAD WITH NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK STEPS OUT ON HIS OWN FOR A MIX OF DANCE AND POP TRACKS

New York, New York-- After wrapping up a whirlwind year on the road with the newly reunited New Kids on the Bock, pop icon Joey McIntyre isn't slowing down. The singer/songwriter will release his solo EP, HERE WE GO AGAIN, available in early December.

The sound is like nothing the multi-platinum performer has ever done before. Over the course of his seven all new songs, the pop star explores relationships and love, in a mix of rock and hip-hop infused dance tracks. Joey's voice drives home on anthems like "Out of Nothing At All." On "Here We Go Again," the first single off of the EP by the same name, soaring melodies are met with explosive beats.

Joey describes the new sound best. "It's pop, dance urban rock. There's a thriving energy and urgency in the music that represents where I am right now. I want to get in your face and rock."

Joey worked with up and coming producers Brent Paschke, Drew Ryan Scott and Gabe Lopez--writing and recording all seven songs for a truly personal compilation of original music.

"I like to be involved in the process of writing music," says Joey. "When I tour with New Kids, I'm involved with the music constantly. There's so much inspiration. It's amazing being a part of a team, but I also want to express myself on my own terms. That was the seed for this music."

As part of the never-ending pop phenomenon that is New Kids, he became an icon, with over 80 million albums sold and countless sold out shows worldwide. He went on to build a solo career that solidified his place and credibility in the music industry. In 1998, he dropped his debut album, Stay the Same. Elevated by the chart-topping title track, the record quickly exceeded platinum status. Joey followed it up with fan favorite Meet Joe Mac in 2001. In 2004 he dropped 8:09 and in 2006 a very unique collection of cover tunes, Talk to Me. Now, this fifth album reflects the place he is at in his life today-- his finest and fieriest.

Joey will drop his most powerful and passionate collection of solo music digitally on iTunes and other digital retailers. A special edition "MAC PAC 3000" will also be available for purchase in certain retail stores. The "MAC PAC 3000" will include the 7 song EP, personal photos, and a booklet with liner notes and lyrics. A limited run of 3,000 copies of the "MAC PAC 3000" will be made.
